1. What is Form ADT-1?
Form ADT-1 is the notice of appointment of an auditor, filed by a company with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
ADT-1 must be filed within 15 days of the auditor’s appointment at the AGM or during incorporation.
The company (not the auditor) is responsible for filing Form ADT-1 with the ROC.
Documents include a board resolution, auditor’s consent letter, and intimation of appointment.
Delay in filing may attract additional ROC fees and compliance notices under the Companies Act, 2013.
